Learning Experiences

What are valuable things you learned this year about yourself and your students?

This year I have learned about myself if that I shouldn't reinvent the wheel? There are so many great websites, articles, and resources that give awesome ideas and tips on how to better what you are already doing?

Here are some the websites I used this year:

https://www.edutopia.org/stw-differentiated-instruction-budget-assessment-how-to

https://www.teachervision.com/assessment/assessment-vs-evaluation

http://study.com/academy/lesson/importance-of-including-assessments-in-lesson-planning.html

What I learned about my students is that they are welcome to change. I have implemented new practices such as new classroom management, pre and post tests, using assistive technology, and using new data collection practices. I front load the students as to what is going to happen and after a couple of times of using these implementations, the students learn the routine and what is expected of them.
